What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Ecommerce and Shopping

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

NOTE: at the time of writing the ecommerce service has not yet been implemented.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of basket contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details (See Credit Card Data) and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

What we share with others

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example The Post Office to enable them to deliver your purchases


We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Your Credit Card Data

We do not hold or store any credit card data at any time during or after you make any purchase from this website. All credit card transactions are carried out using a 3rd party credit card payment system called Stripe, an PCI Compliant online payment gateway which ensures the best possible security for you and us.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.>An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact form on our site will be specific and ensure that only the data we need to carry out the functions you have requested will be collected. This may include you name and address details as well as email and phone numbers.

We will not share any of the data we use or collect except to enable deliveries through our logistics partners or services such as The Post Office or 3rd party courier services.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.>For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

The information we store is held in accordance with industry best practice and includes the use of encryption during transmission using SSL/TLS between your browser and our website. The website is secured by a firewall and any backups of our website or the database are also encrypted during transmission and storage.

We have an active monitoring process which maintains a careful eye on our site and will as far as is possible warn us if the system is under attack or has been breached. We have a procedure in place to rectify any damage done to the website and inform users of any data that has been compromised.

What third parties we receive data from

We do not request or receive any data from 3rd parties about any of our users.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

User comments or other form filling will be tested by automated anti-spam filtering process to ensure we reject any malicious or offensive content.
